A yoga is your inner city sanctuary

Yoga can remove the stresses associated with everyday inner city life

Welcome to Inner City Yoga

Namaste.

You may be familiar with the word Namaste—you either have heard people say it in movies or somwhere else. Namaste is a classic greeting between anyone who is involved in this mind and body practice with a 5,000-year history in ancient Indian philosophy. When it is translated, namaste means, “my soul respects your soul,” which makes perfect sense since everything is all about peace and finding your center when it comes to yoga.

Personal

You do not have to practice Yoga in a group. There are many one on one classes available throughout New Zealand that have no on-lookers. This can often be your starting point to a new body and a new discovery. If starting off in a class is not for you then please seek out a tutor for a one-on-one class.

Workshop

There are many Workshops throughout New Zealand for you to delve deeper into Yoga, it’s origins and meaning behind this ancient exercise. We run courses all the time on different aspects of your Yoga journey. Please see the notice board or subscribe to our newsletter to see what courses are coming up.

Group

This is where we all work as one to improve and share. You may know something someone else does not so this is a time for practice and a time for learning.

Groups are usually the most popular way to practise Yoga the world over. It’s not just about exercising in the same room is about connecting with likeminded individuals on there own journey of  self improvement.
